Local Information
Did you know?
Fountainhead is built on the site of the old Webster Pennine Brewery, which closed in 1996. Development started on a “new model village” in 2008 – and is often used as an example of sustainable building development.
There are 275 households occupying 2,3,4, and 5 bedroom homes built by just 4 developers, with the majority being built by Barratts and David Wilson. Prior to the development, there were just 5 homes and 2 farms. The current population is around 750. No further development is planned in the short term with the exception of the additional houses required to complete the original development on Golding Hop Way (called the “ghost site”).
If you need to get in touch with Barratts/David Wilson the customer support number is: 0113 307 6926. They also have a customer support web page https://www.barratthomes.co.uk/Help–support/
